miss beth - Director
I have been in the field of education for over 20 years, and at GLCP for 13. My love of learning is just as strong as it was 20 years ago. I feel that the early childhood years are the best years because they are so full of wonder and new experiences. I look at preschoolers as little explorers, so ready to problem-solve and engage in the adventures of learning. Although I spend most of my time at the center doing administrative work, I frequent the classrooms to interact with all the children, and listen intently to all that they have to share. I have been extremely fortunate to have both of my sons attend GLCP with me. My children continue to talk about the amazing teachers they have had at GLCP many years later. It is my goal to have our center evolve as the education field changes, and improve and make a positive impact on every family and child that walks through our door! When I am not at school, I am often: driving my two boys to activities and sports, coaching gymnastics, traveling or spending time outside with my family, hiking, biking, skiing and exploring!
miss donna - assistant director
This is my 9th year working as the Assistant Director, and also a teacher, at GLCP. I have a deep love of all things literacy, and enjoy reading to the children daily, to help instill a love of reading in my students. I have my B.S. in Early Childhood Education. I am the mother of two children, Emily and Christopher. I also have two dogs and two cats at home, and two spiders and three hermit crabs, that enjoy visiting my Kindergarten classroom. When I am not at school, I am often: baking treats, and enjoying Harry Potter books and movies.
I am a married mother of two teenagers, Baylie and Max. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, reading, traveling, and going to the beach. I have a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. When I am not at school, I am often: practicing yoga (I am a certified yoga teacher), and working out.
Few things in life are as rewarding as watching a child experience something for the first time, or helping them to grow and develop new skills. I am constantly challenged to see things from new perspectives, and my imagination and creativity are stimulated every day. I have my B.S. in Early Childhood Education. When I am not in my classroom, I am often: hiking, running, eating pizza, or at Michaels buying craft supplies.
I grew up in Shrewsbury and have two children, Kristin and Michael. I graduated from Westfield State and have taught preschool in Worcester, Sudbury, and now Shrewsbury. I continue to learn through workshops and webinars. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was a young girl. I love seeing an I Can't turn into an I Can, and the look of pride and joy on a child's face! The love, laughter, singing, silliness, reading, cutting, gluing, and so much more are the wonders that fill our days! When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outdoors, walking and running, going to the beach, and cooking.
I feel that teaching preschool is heartwarming and rewarding. I enjoy teaching young children, and helping them to achieve their best as they and learn and engage in new experiences each day. I have my B.S. in Early Childhood Education. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, cooking, and reading.
I have been teaching at GLCP for 5 years. Since becoming a teacher, I have learned so much about the field, and discovered that it is something I am truly passionate about. Watching children learn and play is such a rewarding experience, I honestly wouldn't know what to do if I didn't become a teacher! I am currently working on my Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, and hope to be a first grade teacher in the future. When I am not at GLC, I also enjoy hiking with my friends, finding new places to explore, my two spiders, Chloe and Luna, reading, and all things Harry Potter.
I love teaching because it is extremely rewarding watching the children grow and learn over the school year. I enjoy getting to know their individual personalities. I am also currently working on my business degree, and hope to one day open my own bakery! When I am not at GLCP, I love to spend time with my son Jaxon, making art, and baking.
